Montage Crew, LLC (“Montage,” “us,” or “we”) provides this website and associated mobile applications (collectively, the “Services”). We take your privacy and security seriously and provide this Privacy Policy to explain how we collect, use, share and protect personal data (collectively, “Personal Information”) we receive from users.

We collect Personal Information from users when they view, access, use or register through the Services, contact us, or submit any information or files to us. The provision of Personal Information is contractually required based on your use of the Services. This Privacy Policy applies to persons and businesses anywhere in the world that may access the Services. By using the Services, you agree to be bound by this Privacy Policy in full. If you do not wish to provide Personal Information or be bound by this Privacy Policy, you may not use the Services.

Montage may modify or replace this Privacy Policy at any time. Registered Members (as defined in our Terms of Use and License Agreement (“Terms”)) will receive an email following such an update. Your continued use of the Services following such an update constitutes your agreement to the new Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to the new Privacy Policy following an update, you must cancel your Account and cease use of the Services.

1. WHAT PERSONAL INFORMATION DOES MONTAGE COLLECT?

Our legal basis for collecting and processing your Personal Information is (i) your explicit consent when accessing the Services and (ii) a legitimate interest and need in order to provide film submission and viewing services, as more thoroughly described in our Terms. We may collect the following Personal Information from users:

    1. Account information. We will collect Personal Information when you apply for an account. We may also require additional information to verify your account. This may include your name, professional website/URL, biographical information, email address, phone number, mailing address, and verification or fraud prevention related information.

    2. Information we automatically collect. We may use cookies, log files, clear .gifs, and other analytics tools to track your site usage, which helps us analyze and improve the Services. You may be able to disable cookies in your web browser or mobile device. However, please note that disabling cookies may prevent you from taking full advantage of the Services.     3. Banking and payment information. You will be asked to provide banking, debit or credit card information when making payments to Montage. We use Braintree, a third party payment processor owned by PayPal Holdings, Inc., for debit and credit card billing. We do not store this information ourselves.

    4. Films or content you submit to the Services. If you submit films or other content, or make comments or upload anything within the Services, we will collect information necessary to process and store the submissions.

    5. Other information you send us. If you contact us for customer or technical support we may collect Personal Information you provide to us. You are the source of this information.

2. HOW DOES MONTAGE SHARE AND USE PERSONAL INFORMATION?

  1. We may use your Personal Information in the following ways:

    1. To provide streaming video services.

    2. To process subscription payments and payments to or from filmmakers.

    3. To verify your account and user identity and to comply with laws to which we are subject.

    4. To contact you about the Services or Montage.

    5. To provide customer or technical support.

    6. To analyze and improve the features and performance of the Services and to analyze usage patterns.

    7. To inform you about offers from Montage or our filmmakers.

  2. We may share your Personal Information with our third party application program interfaces (APIs) in order to provide our Services. This includes:

    1. Braintree

    2. Facebook

    3. Google

  3. We may disclose your Personal Information if required to do so by a request or requirement of law.

  4. We care about your privacy. We will not sell or share your Personal Information with third parties other than as expressly provided for in this Privacy Policy.

3. CHILDREN

  1. We do not knowingly collect Personal Information from any child under the age of 13. Further, you may not use the Services unless you are at least 18 years of age. If you believe we have collected Personal Information from a child under the age of 13, please contact us immediately.

In order to provide our products and services to you, we may send and store your Personal Information outside of the country where you reside or are located, including to the United States. Accordingly, if you reside or are located outside of the United States, your Personal Information may be transferred outside of the country where you reside or are located, including countries that may not or do not provide the same level of protection for your Personal Information. We are committed to protecting the privacy and confidentiality of Personal Information when it is transferred. If you reside or are located within the European Economic Area and such transfers occur, we take appropriate steps to provide the same level of protection for the processing carried out in any such countries as you would have within the European Economic Area to the extent feasible under applicable law.
